Where to begin? I guess I could start where any good story starts, with an introduction.

My name is Maegan Provan and I am the author of The Night Touched Chronicles. I’m majorly obsessed with vampires, and have been for years. I have written the premise of this series a thousand times, but I could never get the characters to go where I wanted or needed them to go. Finally, for the 2012 NANOWRIMO I settled on who exactly I wanted those characters to be, and what kind of story I wanted them to tell. With the help of my best friend and author of the Redhaven series, Victoria Barrow, I hammered out the exact details and began to write what is now becoming The Night Touched Chronicles. Mind you, this is still the very early days, but I wanted to bring you, the reader, along with me as I go through all the aches, pains and endless editing as we make this series into something that I hope will be around for a long time.

What exactly is The Night Touched Chronicles?

Night Touched were the first generation of vampires created by the First Born (the original vampire) to further vampire kind. They created the bloodline from which all modern day vampires came from. After a millenia of sitting back and watching rogue demon hunters and Slayers destroy his legacy, the First Born decided to take back the night.

Harper Kemp, one of the first modern day Night Touched, believed she was the only one of her kind. Having only heard the stories of old, she had every reason to believe she alone. Having been taken in by Lily and Jason (your typical modern day vampire couple. Think Spike and Dru meets Carrie and Big) she learned to accept what she was but struggled with her existence. One night, after a birthday party for a well known New York City socialite, Harper’s world changed. Not only was she not alone, she was about to fall in love.

Where are we right now?

I am currently working on book one of the series entitled Night Touched Chronicles #1: Celine. I can’t promise that I will stay on top of this blog 100% but I will update you guys as I can.
