   Great vlog this week! You are absolutely right. People who want to be taken seriously as authors need to write instead of engaging in petty disputes with readers and other authors. Nothing good can ever come from arguing with an author or reviewer. I learned the hard way that there are indie authors who bring their middle-school mentality into the publishing arena, hissing gossip in the forums, hurling insults at their perceived enemies, and forming cliques and alliances with other like-minded individuals. Most of us don’t have time for that nonsense. It’s hard enough to find time to write without falling into a bunch of drama.

   Thanks for posting this, Maegan. This is good for new authors to know. When I started writing, I certainly never imagined this went on.

   This is the first vlog of yours I’ve heard and I really like it. I can relate to it. Being able to help other authors makes me feel real good, but I hate when I can’t say anything good about their work.
