Great vlog this week. Scammer publishers are everywhere, from the small presses to the big vanity presses. I loved what you said about researching the publisher. A solid contract is no guarantee you’re going to be a good match with a publisher. A lawyer might give you the go ahead to sign a contract, but people in the industry might say otherwise. It’s good to get as much info as possible before signing.
The scam reviewers/editors are becoming a huge problem. A lot of authors aren’t aware this happens until they’re suddenly approached by a scammer. I agree with you. Don’t be threatened or bullied into paying for editing services just to ensure you don’t receive a bad review.
