Oh the Ruts You’ll Get Stuck in

So, you know that thing called “writer’s block?” Well, it’s a bitch. I have tried to hard to get started writing, and already I am failing. I think in the past couple of weeks I have written less than a thousand words. It’s annoying, it’s maddening, and I just want to write my book. I just moved and I thought that a change of scenery might make a world of difference… I was wrong! I have been pacing the floor trying to come up with the rest of this book and I continue to fall short. I am hoping that a short road trip to New Orleans will do the trick, but I’m concerned. I want to write a great book that people will like, but I have to finish it first. Everyone around me is busting out novels and edits and here I am, in my corner, with nothing. I will keep trying, but I am just so stuck.

  1. I know how you feel. I’ve been there many times. A change of scenery helps, but not right away. You have to settle in first. Soon, you’ll be busting out books again, and somewhere out there, an author suffering from writers block will be wondering how you’re so prolific. Give yourself permission to rest for a while. The words will come before you know it.

    1. Thanks, Tricia ❤
